Under the Tent is our premier annual fundraising event which includes a welcome cocktail hour with live music, abundant hors d’oeuvres, craft cocktails, beer, and wine followed by an elegant al fresco family-style meal under the stars. There will be an extensive selection of desserts prepared by local bakers. The Gravatt Artisan Market includes pieces from Gravatt artists and businesses near and far. Overnight options, late night “Porch Party,” UTT Camp for children, and great friends and supporters of Gravatt make this an evening you do not want to miss.
Proceeds from this event primarily support the Westmoreland Scholarship Fund with the goal of bringing the opportunity of camp to as many children as possible. Under the Tent also supports special projects to improve the camper / guest experience at Gravatt.
Under the Tent dinner is an adults only event for those 21 and older.
Enjoy
The evening begins at 5:00pm with a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails under the pines, continues with a family style dinner from locally chosen chef, which is followed by an extensive dessert bar with sweet treats from local bakers and bakeries. We will have Gravatt specific merchandise, art, and memorabilia for sale during the evening along with comfortable rocking chairs and a beautiful setting to enjoy with old friends and new.
Stay
We are offering several overnight options. You may stay anywhere on our facility. All adult overnight options will include a late night porch party and hot Gravatt breakfast on Sunday morning. Arrive at Gravatt anytime after 4:00pm, get settled in your room, and join us for cocktails under the pines!

This price is per room not by person. Each room sleeps up to 6 people (2 full beds, 2 twin beds) and includes a hot Gravatt breakfast Sunday morning for all.

Camp
Under the Tent Camp is for children and young people ages 5-14. UTT Camp is run by your favorite summer camp counselors, specially designed to give your camper a taste of the fun they'll have at camp this summer. The children will enjoy a luau and dinner on our conference side, stay with Gravatt Staff in tents and cabins, and join all our guests for a hot Gravatt breakfast Sunday morning. New for this year, children will learn about Gravatt’s composting program. A brief family educational program about Gravatt’s Forestry Management Plan and the techniques and practices used on our property will be Sunday morning. Be sure to pack bathing suits, towels, a sleeping bag or twin sheets, and a change of clothes.

Since 1949, Gravatt’s mission and ministries have been supported by the generosity of donors and sponsors. Your sponsorship will support special projects at Gravatt and will make a difference in the lives of the children and young people through the Mac Westmoreland Scholarship Fund. Faith-based camp is an experience that should be readily available for all children. It is our philosophy that no child should miss out on the Gravatt experience due to financial reasons. Each year, through the Mac Westmoreland Scholarship Fund and the generosity of many, we make sure all children are able to experience summer camp at Camp Gravatt.
All proceeds from Under the Tent will go to the Mac Westmoreland Fund sending children to camp.
